OPSA charity are honoured and delighted to have been selected to receive sponsorship from Emirates Airlines Foundation.
Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, chairman and chief executive of Emirates Airline Groups, the Emirates Airline Foundation (EAF) was launched on 25th of February 2003 to provide humanitarian, philanthropic aid and services to children around the world, with the minimum amount of administrative expense.
The Emirates Airline Foundation is a non-profit charity organisation. The source of funding is donations made by passengers on board Emirates flights and these are used to fund humanitarian projects including education, medical care.
The sponsorship of the OPSA by the Emirates Airline Foundation is invaluable and will enable an the OPSA overseas specialist medical and surgical team to travel to third world countries including Pakistan to assist those most in need.
OPSA Surgeon and Trustee Mr Muhammad Riaz stated “We are overwhelmed with the generosity of the Emirates Airlines Foundation in supporting our medical team .Their sponsorship of OPSA will have a lasting and far reaching legacy beyond those that words can express. Our gratitude is self-evident and can be seen in the faces and smiles of the children we treat”
